Strong For Life

Strong For Life’s passion is to get their patients pain-free and to a happier and healthier lifestyle as soon as possible. They achieve this by discussing probable causes of pain, injury or ill health, then work to identify the causes and eliminate them.

Most commonly, their patients are experiencing back pain, meaning that they have become experts in this treatment area over the last 20 years.

It is very common to just ignore the back, neck or joint pain but this often leads to chronic pain, which results in longer treatment recovery time.

Marcel Salazar is a Physical Therapist by training but has worked in the health industry since graduating in 2005 from Sports Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention BSc (Honours) Degree.

He spent time during his degree working in the UK with a high profile physiotherapist in Athletics (Chris Allen of Battersea park) and in the US in the University College of San Diego, which had a fantastic rehabilitation and sports department which provided on site therapists for all of the collegiate athletes.

This experience allowed Marcel to work with athletes of varying disciplines ranging from football, to softball to volleyball. Each presenting their own unique injuries and imbalances of which it was his (their) job to manage and improve injuries as well as prevention in future. On the conclusion of his degree, Marcel underwent an additional diploma for strength and conditioning.

Marcel developed the concept of Strong For Life and, along with his family, moved to southern Spain in 2017. He established his therapy business in June of the following year, and since then it has continued to grow and expand.

Today, Strong For Life offers home visits and is established in a private clinical setting with a breath taking sea view in Calahonda. The future looks bright for the business as they continue to build their team of practitioners, with Marcel’s wife, Ausra, joining as a personal trainer.
